Romans 12:19 says, "Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, 'I will take revenge; I will pay them back,' says the Lord." -NLT

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is a remarkable addition to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Captain Jack Sparrow returns for a new adventure to salvage his tarnished reputation, restore the Black Pearl to its former glory, and defeat the undead Captain Salazar.

Henry Turner, son of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan, desperately seeks a solution to set his father free from the curse of Davey Jones. Cursed to spend eternity on the sea. Bound to a supernatural ship. Deprived of his family's love.

Carina Smyth uses her impressive knowledge of maps, time and stars to locate a powerful artifact and discover the truth of her parentage.

Because of their desperate situations, the three unite together in a common purpose. There is one solution that will fulfill each of their goals. This powerful artifact possesses the power to break every curse that plagues the sea, including the curse of Davy Jones and the curse of Captain Salazar.

1 Peter 3:9 says, "Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing." -NLT

Captain Salazar is man fueled by hatred and vengeance, a self-appointed slaughterer of pirates. His hatred for Jack Sparrow turns him into a monster. It makes him ugly. It makes him dangerous. It makes him a dark cloud on the sea. Eventually, it becomes his downfall.

The path of revenge leads Captain Salazar to his own destruction. Meanwhile, Henry's loving path leads to restoration. Carina's quest for the truth of her family leads her to a father who loves her deeply enough to lay down his life to save her.

Finally, Jack Sparrow....

His unchanging, selfish priorities doom him to a repetitive fate. He has yet to discover the fulfillment that love can bring. Let us hope that he one day finds it. In the meantime, he continues to sail the seas ready for life's next adventure.
