LOVE FINDS YOU IN VALENTINE (2016) Movie Review

Love Finds You In Valentine is the story of two people desperate for a clean slate. Kennedy Blaine is a law school graduate with an estranged family member, a borderline stalker, and little direction. That is until she discovers the unusual inheritance of Circle Cross Ranch after the death of her father.
Despite tremendous pressure to sell the ranch and leave Valentine from everyone around her, she can’t shake the calling from within. Several callings in fact. A calling to uncover her family history, which includes an uncomfortable confrontation with her grandfather. A calling to uncover the truth behind inconsistencies in the ranch’s profits. A calling to find her life’s path. Above all, a calling to make Valentine her home and future.
In her short time at the ranch, she manages to uncover the shady sale, reconcile with her grandfather, save the ranch, and find peace in her new home of Valentine. What she doesn’t intend to find but finds anyway is love.
Her ranch’s handler, Derek Sterling, starts as moody and unwelcoming, but that turns out to be his protective instincts for the home and job he loves. As their partnership develops, she finds a responsible, honest man with a heart of gold. His job is more than a job; it is the opportunity that saves his younger self from a dark and dangerous path. Her refusal to judge him is what makes her the one for him.
Unfortunately, someone lurking on that path tracks him down and puts both Kennedy and Derek in a dangerous situation for the purpose of blackmail. Though willing to take responsibility for his past, he resist temptation to re-enter that dark path. He saves the woman he loves and sends that “old friend” right back to prison.
