The premiere of Black Panther
is just around the corner, the final introduction story before the grand battle begins. In Avengers: Infinity War
, all heroes unite to protect Earth from Thanos, the greatest threat in Marvel film history. First, the scattered heroes must find each other.
Thor unintentionally begins this mission in Thor: Ragnarok . This, of course, is no easy task with his own world to protect. His brother Loki is enough of a nuisance, but pales in comparison to his sister Hela, goddess of death.
His first attempt to fight her lands him in humiliating defeat where he winds up enslaved as a gladiator on an alien planet. He is desperate to return to Asgard and save his people from Hela's tyranny. So, escape from his prison occupies the forefront of his mind.
Not before recruiting some unorthodox allies: the Hulk, his "friend from work"; Valkyrie, an elite Asgardian warrior with a vendetta against Hela; and Loki, his trouble-making brother. (When will he learn?) Putting aside their differences, they join together for a noble common goal.

What does it mean to save Asgard?What constitutes Asgard?The land or the people?
Thor eventually realizes that he can't save both. In order to save the people, he must let go of the land. Asgard must sacrifice its physical home.
They become homeless, but they are safe. They are protected. They are together. They are faithful. With his friends and allies, Thor saves his home by saving his people.
Just in time to save Earth. What lies in store during the Infinity War ? Only time will tell.
