THE HURRICANE HEIST (2018) Movie Review
Greed is a destructive path.
Luke 12:15 - “...Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”(NLT)
It could also be the death of the robbers if they are not careful or vigilant. Yet, the bait is too tempting for some. A highly trained, technically advanced, and determined team of robbers hit the facility as soon as the town evacuates. They outnumber the guards, and their technology can crack the strongest of safes. Resistance seems to be impossible, and time is vital.
1 Timothy 6:9 - "But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction." (NLT)
It is not. Not for the three people left standing to defend it: security guard, Casey, meteorologist, Will, and mechanic, Breeze. Each one of them seeks redemption for a past mistake. Each one of them has something to prove. The heist becomes their opportunity to clear their conscience. They seek a richer reward than dollar bills. They seek vindication. They seek unity. They seek to build bridges.
This heroic trio would stop at nothing to preserve the treasury, even risk their lives. Though they are few, their connections are strong. Not only are Will and Breeze brothers, they also understand each other through experience and shared regret. They are united.
